As someone who has navigated the globe, seeking boutique hotels with exceptional facilities, my recent stay at La Conu Iancu was remarkably underwhelming. The initial warmth of the owner on the phone led me to believe I had found a hidden gem, but upon arrival, the reality sharply diverged from expectation. The bar resembled more of a raucous gathering than a relaxing spot, with a disheveled ambiance that did little to set the tone for our night. The underlying scent of alcohol and smoke was all-consuming, which overshadowed any intended camaraderie I might have felt with my travel companions. Our room, while equipped with air conditioning and a private bathroom, fell drastically short on cleanliness and comfort, making me question how it ever garnered a three-star rating.
